About your trip
This Rainbow Mountain photography tour Peru is built around timing, movement, and access. You do not rush between locations. Instead, you arrive when conditions allow real photography work. Over two days, you photograph three different rainbow mountains. Each location offers different textures, color patterns, and composition options. You work during sunrise, sunset, and blue hour, when shadows define the terrain and shapes become more visible. You start early at Vinicunca, before the trail fills. Then you move toward the Red Valley, where lines and tones create strong depth. Later, you reach Pallay Punchu, a location with sharp formations and very few visitors. On the second day, you explore Palccoyo. This area offers wider views and multiple layers, which work well for drone photography and long compositions.
Throughout the trip, your guide helps you read the landscape. You adjust framing, test angles, and wait for the right moment. This is not a fixed schedule. It is a flexible experience designed for photographers who want control and time.

YOUR ITINERARY
Day 1
Vinicunca Sunrise & Pallay Punchu Sunset
Sunrise photography at Vinicunca and sunset at Pallay Punchu with access to Red Valley landscapes.
We pick you up early from your hotel in Cusco and drive toward Cusipata. From there, we continue to Vinicunca Rainbow Mountain. You hike for about 1.5 to 2 hours to reach the viewpoint before sunrise. Once at the top, you start shooting with guidance from your photographer guide. We stay before the crowds arrive, giving you cleaner frames and better control.
After the session, we continue to the Red Valley for more photography work. This area offers fewer visitors and stronger visual contrast. We return to Cusipata for lunch and short rest.
Later, we drive to Pallay Punchu. The hike takes about 30 to 40 minutes. We spend the afternoon working compositions until sunset and blue hour. After the session, we transfer to our basecamp for dinner and rest.
Day 2
Palccoyo Rainbow Mountain & Return to Cusco
Wide landscape photography at Palccoyo with drone opportunities and flexible shooting time.
After breakfast, we depart mid-morning toward Palccoyo. The drive takes about 2.5 hours.
The hike takes 45 minutes to 1 hour on an easy trail. This location offers multiple colorful ridges and open views. You have space to test wide compositions and drone angles.
We spend the afternoon shooting and adjusting based on light conditions.After sunset and blue hour, we return to Cusco. Arrival is in the evening and drop-off to your hotel.
