About this tour

A few kilometers from the famous Rainbow Mountain stands Ausangate, one of Peru’s highest peaks and a sacred site for the local communities, dating back to Incan times. Our 6-Day Ausangate Trek Photography Tour takes you deep into this breathtaking region, designed specifically for photographers who want to capture Ausangate’s stunning landscapes and vibrant colors.

The journey begins at the base of Ausangate Mountain, where sweeping landscapes provide stunning opportunities for photographers. An exclusive stop at the rarely visited Singrena Lake offers perfect shots of high-altitude scenery and grazing alpaca and llama herds. Each night, enjoy comfortable camping with delicious meals and activities tailored for high-altitude conditions.

After Singrena, we camp at the breathtaking Seven Lakes, a hidden gem with crystal-clear waters surrounded by dramatic peaks. The next day, we trek to Upis, capturing more sweeping mountain vistas along the way. We continue to Puca Qocha Lake, known for its vivid colors and reflections, and then camp near Q’elwaqocha, where we’ll have sunset and sunrise photography sessions to capture the vibrant hues of the lake.

The tour culminates with a sunrise arrival at Rainbow Mountain for the best light, giving photographers an opportunity to capture its famous colors without the usual crowds.
